By the end of the programme, students should have acquired the basic elements on the rules governing inter-State relations, a clear understanding of the international legal system, international law-making processes, the diverse functions of international law in contemporary society and in its interaction with domestic law, and familiarity with research materials and methods. This with a view to give students the essentials to compete for a job in diplomacy or international organisations, or to become an international lawyer in the public or private sector, or to continue in advanced and doctoral studies on the international legal system.
