Il corso si propone di analizzare i concetti e gli istituti fondamentali della materia privatistica, cercando – come propriamente si addice ad un corso istituzionale – di restituire un’immagine d’insieme della materia, trattata nella sua globalità come un tutto unitario. I temi ai quali sarà dedicata particolare attenzione sono: le situazioni giuridiche soggettive; i soggetti di diritto; i beni, i diritti reali e le situazioni di fatto; le obbligazioni; la parte generale del contratto; le tutele contrattuali; la responsabilità civile. Sinteticamente saranno presi in esame il diritto di famiglia e la disciplina delle successioni mortis causa e delle donazioni, mentre solo alcuni tra i singoli contratti disciplinati nel codice civile saranno oggetto di considerazione. La parte di interesse commercialistico e lavoristico non è parte del programma.

Short Bio

Born in Rome on August 27th, 1955, Giuseppe Grisi is Full Professor from February 16th, 2001 in the sector IUS/01 (Private Law) and teaches in the Department of Law of the University Roma Tre in Rome from September 1st, 2008. In the past, he worked in the Universities of Perugia, Trento, Parma and Lecce, where he taught Institutions of Private Law, Civil Law, EC Private Law, Tourism Legislation, Tourism Law. He developed researches and studies about the obligations law at the Rechtswissenschaftliches Seminar of the University of Zurich as well as at the Max Planck Institut of Hamburg. He spent short periods of study in Munich (host of the Max Planck Institut), in London and Oxford. He was the Scientific Coordinator of the Project of International Research Italian-Iberian on “Le prospettive del diritto contrattuale europeo in Italia e in Spagna” and took part at the Comité cientifico of the project of Ministerio español de Economía y Competitividad regarding “Límites a la autonomía de la voluntad”. From February to March 2018 he was Visiting Professor at Faculté de droit et sciences sociales de l’Université de Poitiers. He was Director of the Department of Legal Studies in the Faculty of Law of the University of Salento, Deputy Director and Coordinator of the Section “Private Law for Europe” of the Ph.D. International School Tullio Ascarelli in the University Roma Tre, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law in the University Roma Tre. Currently, he is Coordinator of the Ph. D. Law Disciplines in the Department of Law in the University Roma Tre and Coordinator of the Vinci Program for the assignment of the Italian-French Joint Degree – Master Degree in Law/Master recherche on “Les contracts en droit europeen”, with the University of Poitiers (France). He is member of Scientific Boards of several legal journals. He took lectures, presentations and papers in seminars and conferences. He is author of monographical studies, handbooks, articles, dictionary contributions, review of legislation and jurisprudence, case-law notes, book reviews.
